Highland Hospital – Acute Tower Replacement Program

OAKLAND, CA

6D was part of the County’s selected program management team that provided project and construction management services for this $668M Design-Build hospital expansion program. This included construction of the LEED Gold Highland Hospital Acute Care Tower, and the LEED Gold Highland Care Pavilion that includes executive offices and clinic spaces, demolition of the existing acute tower, and associated make-ready projects. These projects were designed with an emphasis on sustainability and energy efficiency. The tight site constraints and the operational sensitivities of the fully functional hospital made the design and construction process challenging.
